D83 — tracemaker escape analyses outstanding pins under router rules¶
Decision¶
tracemaker escape analyses outstanding pins only (nets the existing copper does not complete; complete ones are satisfied), under the router's custom-rule limits (per-net layers and vias, positional disallow rules) and its zone and via options (--soft-zones, --keep-vias-off-pads). Dead pins that escape without the rules are named as walled in by them
Alternatives¶
Port the fork's shared off-lattice access graph with witness/exhausted/unknown verdicts (D66 there); keep analysing every pin against hard fills
Reason¶
The analysis feeds preflight and dead_pins: it must ask the router's question. Retained fills made 18 CM5 pins look dead that soft-zone routing connects. The access graph was dropped with its router half; the lattice search is complete over its domain, so dead keeps its meaning, qualified by the reported lattice (doc 05 §35)
