D100 — Breakout profile reach-check and field caching

Decision

The breakout profile (D98's trigger) also sets --reach-check 2, --flood-work-pct 25 (a flood cell counts a quarter of an expansion against --work), --field-prefill 1 and --field-cache-mb 512; --breakout-profile 0 turns the last four off. The fixed-copper cache is filled for the whole board at the first field, so a cost-to-go field is a function of its connection and window only and is kept; reuse is checked by a byte comparison of the inputs

Alternatives

Flood cells at 1:1 (as before); lazy cache; a field per search

Reason

A flood cell costs far less time than an expansion (transactions + reach-check 2: 30 of 57 clean at 30 M against 23, at 137 s against 106 s CPU per board); the field was 47 % of the time of a transaction run and its inputs repeat (62 % of the wall time on sample 123, same copper). Not byte-identical on ordinary boards (6 of 30 quick boards differ), hence breakout boards only
