D127 — Soft mask and copper graphics, fine-lattice finish

Decision

--soft-mask-graphics (net-less mask openings drawn as footprint graphics stop keeping tracks and vias out) and --soft-copper-graphics (net-less copper drawn as board polygons stops enclosing pins) and, in the real-world closure loop, a fine-lattice finish (each open net alone on the best copper at 10-20 um with its own and its neighbours' rules at the loosest tier)

Alternatives

Treating the openings as pad apertures; a finer default lattice (memory and time on large boards)

Reason and results

The first took test-jig's 9 blocked jumper pins out of 'enclosed'; the second closed memsarray's last connection; both only act when nets stay open, the first is opt-in in the router and reported as judgement-class violations (doc 05 §48)
