D129 — --bundle-escape river escapes on dense packages¶
Decision¶
--bundle-escape: bundle (river) escapes, a block of parallel lanes in pin order from one package side to one side of another part, placed before the search (doc 05 §50)
Context¶
Review item 1 of the EtherCAT shield: the router cannot build a straight 0.5 mm-pitch comb of 5-19 mm connection by connection, group reroutes in any order ended at 4-15 open, escape corridors and bus lanes do not make the net itself stay straight
Consequences and results¶
Off by default, nothing changes without it; every piece passes the exact check; lanes are protected from ripping, which can leave a net that needs the lane's ground unrouted (the closure loop then relaxes it); one layer only
